Yeah.. I want to make pk vids. But, I haven't been able to find a working screen capturer that was not ridiculous to try and use.
Suggestions?
Wine would be acceptable as well..

Search the synaptic package for "recorder"
Many will come up.

gtk-recordMyDesktop has always worked fine for me, with just a little lag, but my computer's like 5 (or more) times more powerful than yours.. If you play around with the framerate and other options, you may get it to work at a decent speed.

i have used this for a few years it actually gets some very good video quality...
everytime you open it just click options and put quality to 100% and FPS to 30
and the audio doesnt work for me... and microsoft video 1 is the best encode (sadly) but the others dont really work lol i dono its free and its very light weight and it works i like it
oh and you can pick what region of the screen u video in...

Heh.
I am using gtk-Recordmydesktop atm.
Its working pretty decently actually.
