Scar broken?

Okay I'm pretty sure scars not broken, I just did something wrong on my part.

Basically I'm just fishing for money and Im using the script:

Cnr sports Guild fisher [R]



Problem is at first I got a message saying it took to long to load, then it terminated. Then after a few retries, it manages to open the first java window, but not the second time around, it just sits there. after roughly four minutes I got a message displayed from scar:

I'm really getting frustrated now (I know its just a game and all, but the lack of consistency with the script is what is driving me up the wall.)

Once again, any help at all is greatly appreciated.

Simple. Close Firefox, restart SCAR, load the script, then click run. Don't target anything.

Yea I think you don't need firefox if your running SMART since it is it's own applet.

Okay I tried running it without fire fox, I even restarted it. Yet I still go the same message again.

Do you have all the latest SCAR/Dev Rev versions? I've gotten that error a couple times myself, but I just hit run again and it works.

Then In return I would have to ask if anything was updated over night? Because 2 days ago I downloaded scar 3.21 alpha and all the other items required after hearing that scar was outdated.

Most likely, but the earliest version of SCAR 3.21 should work fine. It does for me at least.

SCAR 3.20 still works fine; 3.21 is Alpha, which means ready to be tested and liable to still have a few bugs. Just restart SCAR and press run. SMART makes its own window to run RuneScape in; you don't need to preload it. :P

Not as far as I know. They work fine for me. o.o

I changed my email, and needed to validate it before I was given SRL Member status again. Don't worry. :P

Nope. Still doesn't work :( I am going to completely un install scar, re install it and try again.

Yeah I was just going to suggest that, in a lot of cases that solves the problem. :)

Really? Wow. But yeah, UpText and everything has worked like a charm for me in 3.20d. o.o. I smell a conspiracy!

I still have one question though: Is it possible that by dragging the target a new client on the runescape window may have caused this error?

Yes it is possible, my thinking is, there was already a window targeted, which would cause it to error out because it's trying to run from two windows.

I hate to be the one to nag but, it broke again :mad:

I seriously am stuck for options now, Ive tried re installing both scar 3.21 and scar 3.20 twice and it still gives me that error message. I made a video this time in case anyone could point out something wrong. Other than that, I am now clueless :confused:

that's an easy one, you are most likely trying to load up an offline world, right before setupsrl; go see if you see Smart_Server:= (insert number here); and whatever the number is there, change it to a number of a world that isn't full/offline. Should fix your problem, I was having the same problem yesterday, then gave up, then read the solution today without looking for it :p. By the way, I am running the same script right as I type this ;) :p

I used Smart_Server:= 144;

EDIT: If you want to log into a specific world, right after DeclarePlayers, you can just do ChangeWorld(); and in the () put the world number you want, as long as it's online/not full.

Here was the outline. I know what you are talking about when you said smart server, because I changed that a few days ago ( I noticed the default was world 70) because it was giving me some lag, so I changed it to world 114 which worked much better with less lag (yet I don't understand why it didn't load because it was neither full or offline), any who, I am now using world 116 which seems to work fine. Hopefully this is the actual problem and I 'wont' run into any more.

then download mIRC and ask your problems in there ;), but it's not annoying everyone's got to learn somewhere, but this is starting to get offtopic now. But don't worry if you think people will think you're annoying, if you don't know something, and you've searched for it then ask, it's the only way you'll find out.
