ok so it wouldn't work and i was told i didnt install it correctly so i followed this guide:

it all seemed fine but when i got to the
Setting up your new SCAR for autoing:
it doesn't work, when i enter the link and press ok it says
Command: Checkout from http://www.villavu.com/repositories/srl-opendev, revision HEAD, Fully recursive, Externals included
Error: Can't create directory 'C:\Program Files\SCAR 3.21\Includes\SRL\.svn': Access
Error: is denied.
Finished!:
Any help here?

So you have created an directory in Invludes folder Called SRL then right click it and svn checkout etc..
And please delete your current SRL folder and make a new one :)

ya.
i created a new folder called SRL, then right clicked and svn checkout
but this is the error the popup from the svn checkout gave me.
and i also tried just deling the folder and making a new.
it didnt work :(

Ok, please try re installing your SVN :)

And check that your Checkout Link is totally correct.

reinstalled SVN
still get the same error.
e/ idk if it matters but this is vista.

You always could try starting from scratch if you have no other option.
I've never heard that happen before. Sadly to say, even I am baffled.

If you are running Vista, try running Tortoise in Administrative mode, turn off UAC, disable anti-viruses, and for folder options, make sure you can view hidden folders. I'm not not sure if Windows Vista+ allows users to write to hidden folders.
If that doesn't work, you can also do an SVN export instead of a checkout. it won't get the .svn folders and might work better.

I had the same problem on my new laptop, it seems that "user acount control" and firewalls creates this error. Turning those off helped me.
If you are running Vista, try running Tortoise in Administrative mode, turn off UAC, disable anti-viruses, and for folder options, make sure you can view hidden folders. I'm not not sure if Windows Vista+ allows users to write to hidden folders.
If that doesn't work, you can also do an SVN export instead of a checkout. it won't get the .svn folders and might work better.
Or, make it on the desktop and then move it to includes/. :)
