Every week something different happens? Or does the the lowest level of icons only get messed up?

Is your Taskbar set to autohide? That could be the problem.

My pc is messing with my head or something, I refresh and all icons are not where theyr supposed to be, and no, also I have a 1920x1200 monitor and about 250 icons at my desktop.

Depends if you can manage to handle Windows...

Lol, but don't you think this tux is more suitable in this situation.

Edit: On-Topic; Don't you think 250 icons is a little much? Try re-arranging them, or putting them in folders near the top of the screen. Or you can try this easy desktop icon manager. I've been using it for a while and it's really nice. "Desktop Fences (http://www.stardock.com/products/fences/)"

Since you're using a custom shell/windowblinds, I'm guessing the desktop doesn't recognize the bar correctly. Try changing the icon spacing by right lciking the desktop->properties->appearance->advanced and then change the item to icon spacing (horizontal) and set the spacing. It might be that if you increase the spacing so that it's icons themselves start overlapping the bar, then windows will move them to a new column.

Or if you don't want to do that you can simply do this:

1. Right-Click the Task Bar.
2. Hit properties
3. Check Auto-Hide the taskbar

Although this won't solve the problem completely, you'll be able to see the names of the icons and then when you move the mouse there the task bar will show again. But at least you'll be able to know what your clicking ;).

Good Luck~

Tux, bish. If your Windows borks up every week, you need to use a different solution. :x

Just grab your balls, download an Ubuntu ISO, and have fun. We are always on the IRC to help with simple problems.

Windows 7.

Is overrated, and quite fail.

Windows 7 is far the best OS ive tried so far. Much better than vista and xp.

Yea its a glorified vista but it does its job. I will never move over to linux until it becomes the dominating OS.

So far no problems with Win7. Everything runs smooth as ice. X64 overclocked. Runs quite fast.

I don't really follow your logic there...

Windows is dominating the worlds personal computer market. Therefor any games / programs are going to support it.

Why go through all the trouble getting non suported applications working on linux when you can just run windows and everything will work?.

There are often over 9000 Linux versions of apps. 99.99% of the time you can find a free Linux alternative to programs. It is legal, free, so much variety (do not like "Coder X"? Download from "Coder Y"!), and open source. How can it get any better?

Even some games have a Linux port. If they do not, complain to their developers to get their head out of the sand. If they will not, just find a cooler game, or use Wine.

Some people are just happy with windows. Leave them be. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Just be ready when it breaks. Because it will.

Anyways, idk about windows blinds, but try right clicking taksbar and choosing lock. Also sort all that stuff into 20 folders or less. And each of those folders should have 20 or less in them, etc etc

Umm this thread seems to be completely off topic but I'll say what I think the problem is anyway:
This happens to me too, not very often but sometimes auto-hide doesn't hide it, so it figures the bar is down and puts the icons there, turn off auto-hide if it becomes too much of a problem

Oddly it 'fixed' itself when I rebooted, but now that most bottom line is not used, the icons seems to jump over it, so its 15 instead of 16, vertically.

Even though that, it is better than the other one..
