So, there have been a lot of "Go Ubuntu" people in this community and i always wondered how good it was. I used the livecd a little and i really like it. Before i completely switch over though, i decided to dual boot it. I have installed everything correctly and everything runs smooth, but one minor ... annoyance.
// Starting Flash Back to Pre-Install of Ubuntu
My computer did not recognize the livecd when i turned on the computer. So, (after loading up desktop) I looked intothe livecd menu and clicked the top button and clicked the "Help Load CD on Boot" ...(or something like that). So after i clicked that, it DLed something (i think a some type of boot loader) and i restart the computer.
Once the computer loaded up, i was given a screen that Showed Vista and Ubuntu options that i got to pick (basically, a boot loader like GRUB... but not GRUB).
I picked Ubuntu and installed it; the installation also came with GRUB. Now i think i have two seperate boot loaders that are running and this is really annoying. After i chose which OS i want to run on one loader, i must choose it again on another...
If anyone knows anything about this, please help.
