sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jre

Then close Firefox, and reload Runescape. Make sure you hit to accept their signature.

Then your problem probably deals with you accepting the signed certificate. You could try the unsigned applet (which I do not have the URL for), or you could try autoremoving JRE, and reinstalling it.

sudo apt-get autoremove sun-java*

I think that command will be safe to run. Then just rerun the command in my first post.

www.runescape.com/slu.ws is the link to use for the unsigned client...

well, i did remove it and reinstall java. it said that i had already accepted the signature. in my firefox preferences java and java script are allowed.runescape still doesn't work.

Don't forget to install the plugin too. Firefox needs it.

sudo apt-get install sun-java6-plugin

im getting help please =(

You need to move your plugins. Look around in SRL for a folder called, "place inside includes folder," and copy all of those files, and move them to your SCAR 3.21/plugins/ folder. :)

(That's all from memory; I don't have SRL right now).
