Ok so I wasn't the smartest cookie, and I blew this project's "proposal" off until tonight which is due tomorrow. Any who, I have to have 3 topics about stupid possible topics . And I can only think of one.
Evaporation
Get three glasses
Fill each one up with water
One having 5 table spoons of salt
Another having 10
See which one evaporates fastest
That is all that I can think of, I know that you guys are not homework hot line help. But I'm stumped >.<. All I need is a topic and a possible experiment, I'm not looking to be the best in the class, just to get a good grade. Oh and they have to be Earth Systems related. Like no paper airplanes... lol.
Thanks!!!

Acidic properties of vinegar:::: pH::::::Chemistry
submerge and egg in vinegar for a few days (until shell is soft)
conclude that the vinegar (aka acetic acid) dissolved the calcium components of the egg shell. For the control, put an egg in a glass with distilled water (or tap if you aren't needing to be that precise)

could you possibly define "Earth Systems" for me?

Sorry, I guess I should have already done that.
Unit 1 - Earth Science
Unit 2 - Composition of Earth
Unit 3 - Surface processes on Earth
Unit 4 - The atmosphere and oceans
Unit 5 - The Dynamic Earth
If that helps at all the four "earth systems" are the litosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere, and biosphere as defined in the book.

spray a squirt of air freshener in a still room and see how far the scent goes
(or fart in a still room, and see how far it goes :p)

spray the bottle straight up for 3 seconds or something
have people stand 5 feet, 10 feet, 15 feet, 20 feet.......away, and see how long it take for them to smell it/if they smell it. It should smell the strongest closest to the source, and weaker as it moves out.
try to minimize movements, and make sure the furnace or something does not turn on. See how far the scent goes, through still air. How does it move if there is no air current? it diffuses.

Put some of that windshield wiper fluid in a water gun, hold a lit match under the tip of where the water(fluid) sprays out, and youve got your self a flame thrower :)
