Has anyone used JustHost? :) It seems pretty good, and it's hella (Oh lawdy I'm so cool) cheap (sale going on right now.. $3.95 month). I was just wondering because I was wanting to get the best hosting site I could. It's fine if it costs a bit.. I need a domain name (domain.com.. nothing with domain.webs.com or anything like that), email, a good amount of bandwidth, and whatever fancy schmancy things you can get. ^^ Thanks.

I use free web hosting. My sites never had any down time that I know of with this host. Premium is $4.85 /month. It has pretty much everything you will ever need.

Check it out.

I'm not really around.. Just school stuff. And I don't like 000webhost much. :/ Any other suggestions? (And would there be any downside to hosting something in Aussie when I'm in western USA?)

I don't really need back up, I don't think. If I do, then I'll talk to you. ^^ But uhh.. Isn't Apache like.. a type of host? Not a hosting company?

I use GoDaddy (http://www.godaddy.com). It works great for me. When I have a client, if they approve, I run host their websites there. It is pretty cheep... they have a number of hosting plans ranging from free$ to 15$ a month... they also have email serves and more... ya.. that is who I use.

It's a host that you download and get as much space, bandwidth ext as you have. It basicly turns a part of your comp into a webserver. I can write a tutorial if you would like me too.

Your best bet is just getting a server, and then a domain for that server.
You have complete control then. Most site's won't give you that.

I get the best hosting from a home server. Using either Apache or Lighttpd. I haven't used Lighttpd a lot but I've heard it's really good. Apache is good too.

Just because of running a homerlike server doesn't mean you will haxor'd .. certainly many things will need to be taken into consideration and aspects analyzed before setting one up.. but it is a legit thing to do..

ಠ_ಠ Please tell me you are trolling.. Wizzup and Fakawi ran villavu off their home box for ages and they have been fine. No one that I know who runs a home server has gotten hacked. Except 2 cases:
1) Using Windows.
2) Using a default password.

I use lighttpd, works amazing.

Just make sure that whatever ISP you're using allows home servers, if you go that route.

So it turns out trolling a school is easy, and they think I'm way smarter than I am, so I'm gonna be basically skipping classes to work on the school website and I get to use a Linux box for whatever I want.. :p So I can host from that (the teacher is letting me have it for 'testing'). Anywho.. Yeah.. Pot is jolly good. ^^

Erm, Neonknight77? He hacked into the server and stole WT-Fakawis' credit card numbers if i recall correctly..I think he was using the fact he had a server, not a exploit in the server itself.
