Hello everyone, it has been a very long time since i've posted or tested anything on SRL. I've recently bought a Macbookpro for school and was wondering if SRL and scar and scripts would work on a mac? and if not if anyone had a windows operating system key/disc/file i could ahve to run on bootcamp. Thanks again for your help :).

we can't really share a windows os with you, as it is against forum policy. But if you look around on *cough*torrent*cough* sites I'm sure you might stumble on something that would work.
As for SCAR/srl working directly on mac, that is a negative my friend.

You should be able to use Wine to run it under OS X.

Just use a Virtual Box and boot XP in there. There are many keys available through the God Google.:)

Yes it works!
Just install XCode and macports (http://www.macports.org), then go to a terminal -> sudo port wine and it'll work just fine :) Be prepared for ~1 hour compile times though.
Will post some screenies later :)

edit: picz as it didn't happen otherwise:

I gotta do some homework, but can someone post a play by play on how to install wine and get Windows up and running on my mac (prefferably so i can just switch operating systems whenever i want without restarting, but if thats only possible through parrellels then anything will do) I'm not very computer smart, at all so anything will help.

insentive: rep+ and sig mention?? (thats the best i got :P0)

if you have "boot camp assistant" on your mac it walks you through installing windows on a new partition, but you do have to restart when you want to change.

best combo:

MacBookPro + Voodu(or Vudoo not sure) + bootcamp

Voodu(Vudoo) is an operating system, like windows vista. It is really good, reliable, fast and there are NO current viruses for it.

does "voodu" run SRL/SCAR? And is it free. If so how do i go about getting it? As for bootcamp, im fully ready to fall back on that option. Im just looking into "un-restartable" options so i can switch back and worth. So far that voodu thing sounds best, any more info on it?

Double post: sorry about the double post but no ones answered me :)

ANYWAY: so i've gone about getting wine, and i've gotten xCode, but unfortunately i need the snow leopard for the xcode i have to work. so i'm waiting on that. but how exactly do you go about doing everything, in order??

Thanks
