View Full Version : How would you download this
http://www.educator.com/mathematics/calculus-bc/murray/integration-by-parts.php?ex=1
I have chrome + firefox. But I couldn't get my flash downloading app (firefox) to work on this site, so I've been recording lol.. (Prolly a very stupid idea).
How would you guys download this? (if possible). The center video, not the guy's face.

They're being tricky, using javascript to stop most leechers. I don't know much on it, but it seems the video is called in this section:
AC_FL_RunContent(
"src", "/media/educatorn",
"width", "1150",
"height", "375",
"align", "middle",
"id", "educator",
"quality", "high",
"bgcolor", "#000000",
"name", "educator",
"allowScriptAccess","sameDomain",
"type", "application/x-shockwave-flash",
"pluginspage", "http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer",
"allowFullScreen","true",
"wmode","transparent",
"FlashVars", "course=mathematics/calculus-bc/murray&lecture=Calc2-1-1"
);
What I am afraid of was that entire page (Video names+video + face) is all combined into a object, and from what firefox has gave me, it appears thats true..
But I think there is away to separate them or download separately.

Install the firefox addon: Download Helper (http://www.downloadhelper.net/welcome.php?version=4.6.4)
Restart Firefox and go to that site and wait for the flash movie to load.
Wait for the Download Helper icon to start spinning at the top of firefox.
Click on the downward arrow and download the 2 flv's.
Convert the flv's to a movie file with an flv convert. Ie: youtube downloader.
Edit: Or download and convert with Download Helper.
Edit2: If you have K-Lite Codec Pack, you don't have to convert flv files, WMP can play em.

Yeah I updated and it does work.
Is it just me? or the flv tablet doesn't show any video.
EDIT: LOl wtf. it doesn't spins now.
@Trilers, can you see if you can download the member videos without login?

But Tri, maybe he needs more vids...
Anyway, I use a program called 'Internet Download Manager' for all my rapidshare downloads, etc. but it also comes with a nifty tool that makes it possible to download .flv files from firefox with the click of a button! Download IDM and see.
EDIT:
Strange... It only downloads the sound of the vid, not the actual picture. Nvm IDM I guess...

I already taught him how to download vids.
He just wasn't able to download the vid he wanted for some reason.

Just had a quick look, videos get loaded in to main movie from external source. If you decompile the main flash file you should be able to find the external flash files.
Eg..
http://www.educator.com/media/educatorn.swf?course=mathematics/calculus-bc/murray&lecture=Calc2-1-1
So decompile educatorn.swf and see where it is using the course=
They blocked source, and i don't know how to decompile them. err..
I am looking for any reliable method, I don't mind wasting like 3-5min per video if that is what it takes to download them (I've already recorded like 100+ hours, so yeah... 3-5min is nothing).
ALso, once I've got these, i'll zip/rar them and publish on the net, so this might benefit you too!

As you can see they are using RTMP. So all you gotta get is a RTMP downloader :P
See attached rar file. Main file you want to look at is educator.as
Good luck! :P
Please explain more

Google it. I just glanced over the code but you could actually fool the swf into thinking you are a member by just editing certain parts of the code.
Have a look over it and do some googling
I don't know flash.
