Alright I recently purchased a Dazzle DVD Recorder to record my call of duty modern warfare 2 gameplay... Which I then planned to upload to youtube... Everything's fine qualitys good, its working, but like 4 minutes of recording is 1gb+, So is there anyway to make this smaller? Cause if not that really sucks...

By convert do you mean after i'm done recording? Or change the settings before?

Make sure it's not saving them as .avi as they are bigger files. Also, try recording at a "medium" level quality.

Run the files through VirtualDub and compress them.
