Ok, I currently know
Scar (Delphi),
Turning (This will never ever ever be used ever),
Java,

all to at least a moderate level.

I just cannot bring myself to master any language... Ignoring the fact that I should master these ones first, which language do you recommend that I should learn next?

I got some candidates:
C#
C++
Pearl (erm... did this die?)
PHP
HTML
???

Python, if you have to pick a new language. Otherwise, work on mastering the ones you already know.

Agreed. IMHO you will get more value per unit of effort if you know what I mean.

What are you planning to do with your newfound language, and what OS(es) do you run on a regular basis?

Go learn Dutch, awesome language.funny guy... :p

Anyway, if I were you, mrpickle, I would have learned C++. It's one of the most used language and it's great to know how to use it :)
EDIT: and if you're running Linux then there is lots of good compilers that are very easy to find. If not then you would have to google for one

Reason I want new language. I guess it can be in a way "ADD". That's cause I just cannot bring myself to stay solid on any one langauge for a long time, thus, mastering becomes kinda difficult.

I took a look @ python. Didn't like it.
I looked @ cpp... It looks just like java. might do that
Delphi = maybe.

I run xp Media Edition and 98.

Used macs before too, but didn't like the cost.

I might just try cpp. It allows for a new langauge, as well as in a way, furthur developping java :).

Master java.

Otherwise, force yourself to learn python lol. Python is really versatile and is used in a lot of places.

Bebe +1!

as IRC guys know ima Ruby guy, and I like it.

python and Ruby are very similar so i'm not against python, it's just that I prefer Ruby, I love how _everything_ is an object, procs etc, but in python I just don't like the indentation rules and the colon (ends help my code be more readable imo)

but yeah, I'd say work on mastering your current language, I'd rather be a guru on one language then go to another than try to learn two at once (doing the former would make learning another language a whole lot easier (though FP such as Haskell, Erlang and LISP wouldn't be the usual C-style ;)))
