There is a program that I use to edit my speed controller settings on my RC car. The stupid developers have only made the drivers for XP 32 bit, it worked on my Vista 32 bit, but now that I have 7 64 bit I can get the actual program to run in the compatibility mode, but I can't figure out how to get the drivers to register.
Any thoughts? I sent them an email.
Of course I know I can dual boot with a 32 bit, I tried to install xp once and it corrupted some Win7 stuff....and it sucked, and I haven't tried again.
EDIT:
if you really care you can download the program from here (http://www.castlecreations.com/downloads.html), it is the castle link software.

From my knowledge, it should work natively..
You just can't go from 64 -> 32.
But otherwise, you are probably S.O.L. Try creating a partition and installing tinyxp or something to the partition. Do it using an ubuntu live CD as GParted > Windows Partitioner.

There's a fat chance that only applies to binaries using windows libraries that also exist in 32 bit mode. I would guess drivers need to be 64 bit.
Brain, on Linux I would just have compiled the source, but I guess that's not an option?

pretty sure it's not even open source.

Reboot your computer, F8, whatever. Start it with Driver Signature Disabled?
See if that works.

actually I downloaded the Windows xp emulator, which is a VM. It works, thanks for the help guys.
I also read up that it is a pain in the butt to dual boot with windows 7.
