Open with???

Hi there, another problem. when ever i try to open a program i get the 'open with message' this happens with all programs, eg, itunes, microsoft word, so on.

I first get an error message which says "Application not found". i press ok (the only option) then the open with... box pops up.

As i cant open programs i cant take screen shots. any help? :)

What OS exactly.. I assume windows but which one

you can right click and go to properties and you'll see "Opens with" are you able to change that to the program it should be..?

and are you saying the programs themselves ask which program to open with? or are the shortcuts asking
