I am trying to download SCAR 3.23 using TortoiseSVN but every time I download from the newest repo McAfee think that scar.exe is a trojan or something and deletes it immediately. I REALLY need help fixing this, as scar.exe is something I really require to auto. How can I add this as an exception?? Thanks.

Eh. Coh3n used a few of those pictures. I'll just take off the ones that he doesn't need for this problem. :p Sorry.

Dude all you need to do is turn off virus protection.
But this is super annoying because as soon as you turn it back on (which you should) it will eventually find scar and quarantine again, meaning everytime you want to script you have to restore it after you turn off virus scanning again. I luffs yewww you should make a guide on how to restore it too, because that is just as time consuming as the turning off virus scan part.
Freddy has said he has emailed McAfee multiple times about this and they have not gotten back to him. Hopefully he just calls them at some point and yells at them, because one of the main reasons I don't script is because it's such a pain in the ass with McAfee.
And Abbott to answer your question directly, McAfee can't add exceptions because it sucks.

;) Tim, in the pictures I have it set to re-enable at restart. So I hope people can understand that when they restart, it'll turn back on.
But if not, I can easily take some more pictures. :p
Or.. you know.. you could just press the big "Fix" button. x]

No I meant you clicked "Off" on SystemGuards and Spyware, which is unnecessary. Also, once the computer restarts it will quarantine scar. So what I was saying is you should include a quick guide to restore scar from the quarantine so people don't have to re-download every time they want to script.
Sorry if I was unclear :)

Well I dunno how to do that, I don't think? I just have a separate file with SCAR/SRL that I don't open. And if I don't open the file it doesn't delete it I guess. :p

Get rid of all virus protection and just be smart when downloading.

Oh, and get rid of Windows and install Linux.

Well, It's your own fault for using McAfee.

Well, It's your own fault for using McAfee.
Parents bought me a laptop with it installed as a present :\ Although I suppose I could uninstall and switch to something else.
And I luffs yeww for me at least it finds it even when it's in a separate folder, I don't know if it's because of the "real-time" scanning or what. Maybe I'll add my own restore segment to the tut :p

;) You could just make a tutorial with a bunch of words and a bunch of pictures and get a tut cup. x]
