First Java Game (thats not lame)

hey guys, just finished my first java game, and got it up on my website

it shouldnt really be buggy, only problem i have seen is that the ship doesnt rotate around it center, which ill fix within the next day or two

thanks man, the first of many.... hopefully. Im remaking that popular helicopter game (http://www.seethru.co.uk/games/helicopter.htm) with a political theme, should be up by this weekend. Then im gonna do maybe a pac man and a defend your castle type one.... we'll see how it goes

Not fond of the choice of graphics, but can see the humour in it. :) May want to try to remove the white around the bullet's graphic though - that stands out quite a bit.

The game's good, movement's done well. Not much to say about the 'enemies' really, not quite as dynamic as asteroid's line based asteroids, but I can understand not putting that in. ;) I like the bars at the bottom of the screen, that's a good touch rather than numerical representation of shield power etc. I'd say the main menu could do with being brightened just a little bit though.

I did encounter one issue, however - haven't been able to emulate it again, unfortunately didn't have the Java console running at the time to see if it was an exception thrown that set it off. The bullet's wouldn't be drawn by the game. Nothing else was off, the bullets even collided properly - just weren't drawn. ;) Like I said - haven't been able to repeat it but something's not quite right there.

Fixed that first little bit about the shots, and ill brigten up the graphics for the menu here soon. I also have had that problem happen once, but it was when it was online so i didnt have a console. I tried playing over and over again in eclipse to recreate but havent been able to

yea a few people have said that. Thinking about making an options menu with sliders to change the values. Well see if i can get around to it soon. School is a bit demanding recently
