It is what the name said. Here is a fun question. Are monitors needed for simba/scar to work properly?
Can I have a computer - just the computer - and run simba/scar?
Example: if I have two computers and one monitor.. no splitter and no KVM switch; I end up switching the cord between computers to have one with a monitor at a time. - Well, say I make a script to bot or I want to use one of the fantastic ones that have been made available through pro community members. Will it run properly without a monitor actually plugged into it? The screen settings should all be set up on the computer properly.. but it won't really be there..

Well, I turn off my monitor at night with simba running so it the light doesn't keep me awake. I dont think unplugging it would be any different.

Nope it's only visual.

So, nothing will be affected by screen size and such. Because I know if I were to look for something on the computer specifically in parameters that exceed the current/actual screen size it will return empty handed and in error.

Afaik you have the real time resolution of your monitor and the resolution that your grahpics cards shows. not 100% sure.
All your monitor does is show's you what your computer is doing, it doesn't effect anything.
So no, it is not necessary.

So theoretically, I could set 4 (or any number) machines next to each other and have them botting no problems? Then wait for email/txt reports every now and again, and RD to a machine if it is needing help? - machines only, no monitor/mouse/keyboard.
I just knew that the screen resolution does affect how scripts work on the computer. That was my main curiosity.
Yeah you should be fine. Try it out! :)

If it doesn't work, I'm sure there's a way to trick the computer into thinking there's a monitor set up with 1280x1024 (or any, really) resolution on it. :)
Wizzup?

Yes, that would work. But you do need a large enough resolution. You can just use VNC if you want to check how they are doing, I guess.

Because of similar problems, I have started to implement EX:
Const
ScreenX = 1280;
ScreenY = 1024;andIf FindBitmapIn(bmp, x1, y1, 2, 4, ScreenX-1, ScreenY-1) then
or something similar (that was just an example) throughout the script to make them more universal and to get around making changes everywhere all the time.

So, that would be... a resolution large enough set on the computer before hand? Could you expand on that a little more? Just to be for sures. - and for RD I have a better (my opinion) RD option that I will be sharing in my next string of tuts. ;) editing 1 and making 3

Thats exactly what I do. I sleep and if I by chance wake up to use the bathroom, I'll connect to various computers using vnc on my iPod.
