View Full Version : SRL = Simba Resource Library?
Just curious if it will be changed to that when Simba is publicly released.

I could see this being so. But, I like SRL = SRL Resource Library.

I don't, it doesn't ever actually define what 'SRL' actually means.

I like the using the acronym in the statement. IMHO SRL defines the community. So, saying SRL = SRL (the pride of the community, including the members, codes, programs past, present, future, and more) Resource Library... I think it is quite elegant.

It just doesn't really make sense to me. Especially when we have the option of "Simba(s) Resource Library".

It's nice to have a recursive acronym. That implies you have to know what it is before you can define it, in your head, let alone on paper. It´s exactly what SRL is. You have to dig into before you can understand its definition.

I couldn't have said it better myself.

I don't think we should change it. SRL Resource Library is fine IMO. Although you can of course call it Simba Resource Library when you're not being formal...
