Ohithere,

I've run Cod4 and Cod5 on my PC before without major problems, so after torrenting downloading Cod6 and trying it, I was dismayed to find that all the text was weird:

I'm not really, believe it or not, a person who's really into customising my computer. I just really want it to work :p.

The spec for COD6 on PC:

Processor: 2.4 GHz dual core or better is recommended
Display Card: 3.0 Shader Support recommended. Nvidia Geforce 7800 or better or ATI Radeon X1800 or better
Memory: 1024 MB RAM
Free Disk Space: 8GB
Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP or Windows 7

My Specs:

Processor: Viiv Core Duo E6300 1.86 GHz
Display Card: 256 MB ATI Radeon X1300 Pro
Memory: 2048 MB RAM
Free Disk Space: OVER 250GB
Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP

So I guess the only thing which I'm lacking on is my 'Display' or Graphics Card.
I hope getting a new one will remedy the situation.

My question is this, what Graphics card should I get? Which is under £40, is above the minimum required and I can insert without changing my settings, so an ATI one.
I ask this 'cause I'm not really an expert in this field, so I'm hoping some guys here can help me.

Thanks in Advance. :)

It's most likely the torrent. Even with a poor graphics card, the text should come up fine.

Really? I searched it up on the internet and apparently it was due to having a bad graphics card, furthermore when I do manage to navigate to play in campaign - everything is slightly blurry.

Even if the cause is not the gfx card, get a new one ^^

I think you could try updating your drivers, directx etc.

I've tried updating the drivers, I'm trying a new download.
Please advise me on what card to get :p

Sorry to say this, but get a 360.

I was just thinking, since you're going to spend money anyway..

Unfortunately, there are no 360's under £40.

Oh god no, don't buy the 5570 or the 4450. Save up money til you can buy a cheap 5670.

You should get AlterIWnet. ;) Pretty sure Hermen has a server for it (there's a thread somewhere), I just haven't tried it yet. Anyway... have you tried messing with the resolution? I had a pretty shitty graphics card on my old computer, and the text showed up just fine.

For me it looks like you have a corrupt text file rather than problems with your graphics card :P
Anywats... any GeForce card Series 8 or better (9, 100, 200, 300, 400) cards from nvidia is good
