so my girlfreind is trying to get scar/srl to work on her mac, and she's following this (http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=51812) guide. when she enters "sudo port install wine" into terminal. I have NO experience with macs, and for some reason she desperatley wants this to work. i told her to get windows, but she proceeded to call me a faggot :P

help appreciated.

I was raised with Mac OS 7.6.1, then switched to Windows because of the games, and now I haven't used anything but Linux for the last two years.

Ports is probably the way to go to install WINE. It shouldn't be too hard, but she should totally ditch that mac and install ubuntu. ;)

I tryed it once. It could open scar but I never actually could run a script. I dont know the exact problem but I know scar was over and over again searching for windows based maps (like the windows structure) etc.

I find it a pain in the ass and why not take like 10 - 15 gb of your hard disk and use boot camp. I really love to have windows 7 and leopard.

My advice is when he search for C:windows could not find.. openGL and put scar install file in your ''what you called your mac. Then try it again: wine . scarinstallfile

Or use VirtualBox for it.
