I've come to the point where I don't feel comfortable autoing on my main beyond a relatively small extent. I am thinking of getting a second character to do the bulk of my autoing, to minimize losses in case something goes terribly wrong.

I'm wondering about account buying. I know where to go -- won't discuss it here -- but I'm not sure what to look for or how to avoid getting myself scammed. Can someone explain the details of account transferring, and what I should do to guarantee or at least have a good chance of the deal going as planned. Also, while I have money to do this, I don't know of a particularly good way of getting it across the internet. I can't use my credit card for this or anything.

If anyone has advice of any sort, please let me know.

I would say you should just make a new account.

this way you can save your money and practice scripting.

i have 4 account that i just auto on, and that's all i have done since creating them.

Edit: I know its not really what you asked about but its a different option

I'm really uninterested in the first 40 levels of the game or so. I could probably auto them away, but that's like a few weeks of time I wouldn't like. If anything, I'd like to script mid-level stuff. So, for me, buying a mid level main would be a convenient way to get there. The costs of this don't seem too bad to me, but I'm just looking for advice on how to actually get the trade done and how to minimize my risks.

Lol. Are you even allowed to say that here?

Anyway, back on topic. Suppose hypothetically I bought an account from that place that sounds like an old holiday item. What could I offer to pay with? A membership PIN? (No credit card means Paypal would be a pain.)

Is it important that the account has no recoveries? No email? Even then could they take it using old subscription info?

Do not buy an account I have been scammed so many times and it really isn't worth what you get.
Just auto a new one.
If you pay me a couple of $ for the power usage I will auto one through the first 40 levels.

First 40 levels as in combat levels? You'll get that within a day using a decently good script. You'll get the first 40 levels in most skills within a day or two.

As for account buying, best bet is to only buy accounts that have no recoveries, no email registration and hasn't had members. But of course theres always a chance of your new account getting recovered because of the seller has knowledge of old passwords, etc.

In terms of payment, most sellers will only accept PayPal.

I know of a few people at SRL Forums that sell accounts, for example, mormanman. Perhaps contact him if you really want to buy an account.

This is what I do for my first 40 levels:
- I make an account
- Load it up with my main (may take 15 min x 4 transfers)
- Get some solid reflection/RSBot scripts
- Train the first 40 levels
:)

For example, I've got a fisher, goblin owner (I have to train the first 10 levels a/s/d myself though for now), and then once at a certain level just let the account do the work :)

ForgotMyName. How much are you willing to pay, as I have some spare accounts that I don't use anymore. Add me on MSN: r1ch4rd_8@hotmail.co.uk

Lol, I thought we weren't allowed to discuss trading at SRL.

Anyway, I mean lv 40+ in most skills, plus some in combat to appear legit. I'm much happier writing scripts for lv 40+ skills than lv 1, simply because... the delay from 1-40 is just long enough to be tedious doing legit but still too short to really be worth a full-on script, whereas a power training script at 40 often lasts all the way to 99.

But seriously, what are all ways someone could get their account back, and how could I mitigate them?

The only way I would ever buy an account from somebody is if they had proved their honesty in trades with many vouches and if the trade is under $50.

yes guys, this is technically not the place to be discussing any real world trading,

Also I would like to note to you all that trading GOLD, I am unsure about accounts, is now illegal in real life, just a heads up.

Which jurisdiction do you mean? I know some countries have banned it for quite a while, and they actually do enforce it. But I don't think I've heard of this in the US or Europe.
