Hoi!
As far as I know I never made a celebration thread before, so this is my first one! It'll probably not be too long because I have a few other things I have to attend to but I felt I really had to make one at some point...
10000 posts... That's a lot. Assuming I use about 500 characters per post that makes it 5000000 characters. Five million characters. :o
So... a bit about me... I'm now 19 years old; two meters tall and third year computer science student at the University of Amsterdam. (I hope to get my bachelor this year... It's a three year bachelor.)
Oh; and I did I ever mention I really dislike closed projects and mindsets? They're easily capable of destroying the community mindset and productivity; and unnecessarily hide valuable information. But I'll avoid that subject for the rest of this post. ;)
Sports, I have none at the moment but I intend to pick up Aikido again real soon.
Apart from my study, I mainly mess around on SRL and on IRC with some fellow students, I don't really have any other online communities. Working on and with SRL is really something I think we all enjoy and constantly proved a value experience. Constantly hoping to improve SRL, Simba and the community. :)
Lately (this year and last year) my study has kept me quite busy and I've had less time to actually work on SRL and sub projects. I actually did two (major) studies at some point (Maths as well), but that just cost too much time and I couldn't keep up with it if I also wanted to spent time on SRL and other things I enjoy in life. (FYI: Mastaraymond is now in fact doing exactly those two studies... comp sci and math) Aside from study I've also had some health problems which take up quite some time. (Recently my back has been hurting quite a bit; but physiology has been helping quite well so that'll be over soon. The other thing I've been struggling with is psoriasis which isn't in a bad stadium at the moment (compared to what others can have really) but it's not something you'd like to have for the rest of your life. ( It only rises with stress and such; something I've had a bit too much of lately... ;) So just relaxing helps)
So... Onto SRL projects... Now that Simba is considered quite usable, I've spent some of my time on SRL stats and it's coming around nicely. (And hopefully quite soon too. I know I've said this before but I think I'll get it done quite soon now. I promised to Nielsie95 to have it done almost a year ago from now. :( )
Pics! I know it's big... It's quite recent though. This one is taken on my phone. http://wizzup.org/static/images/wiz_cropped.jpg
Less recent, before I cut my hair: http://wizzup.org/static/images/wiz10k.jpg
I'll find a few more later probably.
In particular I would like to send out my thanks to the SRL Staff who have done great things for SRL. You guys are great!
Other thanks go our to the SRL Developers to keep SRL 4 alive and usable; and every other member here who loves this community just as much as I do.
And a extra special thanks to two of coolest guys I know online: Mastaraymond and Nielsie95. Intelligent and nice guys, you guys are awesome! :)
And as final thanks, I think we all owe WT-Fakawi a big thanks for creating this community and thereby providing us all with the base for this great community. Long live SRL! Love you WT-Fakawi! :)
