So, if someone could test a dll I just built, it should basically print "OpenGL test!" on top-left corner.

Link to the DLL (http://www.frement.net/srl/rsogl/opengl32.dll)

If it does, please take a screenshot with and without the DLL (Preferably in the same spot).

Instructions:

Copy the DLL file into: C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\ (Or similar, depending on your system).
Then select OpenGL mode in-game.

Source? :(

In a way I hate to ask for it, but for the sakes of future policy & security, could you post it?

It'll also be a good learning resource for anyone who might be interested ;)

opengl32.cpp (http://www.frement.net/srl/rsogl/opengl32.cpp)
opengl32.h (http://www.frement.net/srl/rsogl/opengl32.h)

EDIT: But this doesn't really improve the security, I could've just edited out the malicious code if I had made such.

EDIT2: But for anyone that suspects me of such, can compile that code themselves, I will make a tutorial how to setup MSVC++ for compiling OpenGL stuff, but for now I'd like to make this work first.

it won't let me switch runescape to OpenGL mode with the file in that directory. if its not there will launch OK

Hmm, I also talked to Frement about that problem.
When I click OpenGL it forces me to just stay on 'Software'. I assumed it was my old computer hardware and crappy 96MB Integrated Graphics.

Ok, thanks for the input, I'll have to run some more tests at home.

didn't fix, will stay on IRC for next few hours, does anything special need to be installed, or do you think might need to be installed?

No, this needs to work as one DLL. I'll continue to work on this.

Compiled it myself: "RuneScape was unable to enter that display mode"

you never know, you may be the person to bring a whole new way of cheating to the community if you get this working and developed fully
