KB970133 or something is the thing messing it up. Look in the recent updates or whatever and uninstall it.

Also, Google.

Use a loader.

i had the same problem. It only would let me log into a guest account and it became really annoying. So i just reinstalled it and didnt update

Try this (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/buy/default.aspx).

If you don't have money (and GNU/Linux is not your fancy), lordsaturn's instructions are the way to go.

Yeah, actually, W7 Home Premium OEM isn't too pricey. Just buy it...

Are you running the programs as administrator?

This (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/buy/products/family-pack-cisco-router-offer.aspx) looks good actually. $150 for 3 licenses. Also includes a free router that you can sell :p. Comes out to about $30 a license if the router costs $50.

I don't think this is a topic to be discussed at SRL...

... I just did an W7 install with remove WAT on my cousins computer. Damnit it better not get screwed up. I disabled the updates before it could touch anything though so I should be good.

The WAT removal tools will all break given time. Loaders are much more reliable; their only con is waiting an extra ~2 seconds at boot.
