I recently installed simba on linux mint and it looks very weird, does anyone know how to make it look 'normal'? Here is what it looks like by the way:

You may need to install additional fonts to get it to display the code in a nice way. That a few icons are upside down are a wine issue. (remember, you are running the windows version)

How do i remove the black lines? they seem to appear when the window is less than 80 chars wide.

Install the fonts, then check again to see if that fixed it.

Well, after Wizzup? said that you're running windows version, there must be a linux version, just install that ?

I never got the black lines but if you install msttcorefonts (I think that's what it is, really just sudo apt-get install mstt<tab> or something, but it should be msttcorefonts I think) it'll look a little nicer at least. Not 100%, possibly, as Harry has the lines, but it looked just fine for me.
I'm installing ubu10.10 in a little so I'll see if it's anything a new simba has done.

SMART works, but the Linux version does not have a proper interpreter. Thus, you cannot really compile/run scripts. :(

I really don't know. Try using winetricks to install additional fonts.
