hi why cant i play runescape anymore on my comp?? it says on top of runescape login page:

Sadly, no. You IP Address has been blocked. I would suggest deleting your UID, using a proxy, and playing on the "Unsigned" RS client.

ok yea first of all what is uid and how can i play in a unregitred rs server and will i be able to play on my comp

A UID is a small file Jagex puts on your comp to identify you. It is usually located under C:\WINDOWS\.file_store_32 or C:\WINDOWS\.jagex_cache_32.

The first step toward getting "unbanned" is to delete the file of your comp.

Once done, you got 2 options:

1. Auto unsigned, which is kinda slow-loading and takes lots of memory
2. Auto on a proxy. If you have a good one, you should be ok.

Just make sure you use an 'anonymous' or 'elite' proxy -> Jagex can detect most other kinds of proxies (i think)

ok ty for helping but what is a proxy and where can i find the jagex stuff so i can delete it?

I thought jagex didn't do IP bans because of the problems with public computers/siblings etc. Has that changed?

people i got bad new really bad news. as u know i got my comp banned. not my accuont, my comp! jagex got a new finding system which detects evry macros. it bans automaticly ur comp by using ur IP.:( so sad... i guess i got quit rs and soon u guys too....:(

It's hard on everyone's eyes if they have to decode what you write every time.

Tools >>> Internet Options >>> Connections >>> LAN Settings >>> Use proxy server... >>>

Type in your proxy and port. You can get some here:

http://www.proxy-list.net/anonymous-proxy-lists.shtml

Then just OK out.

To test and see if your proxy worked, go here:

http://www.findmyip.com/

If it's givin' you problems and won't load the screen, start over.

google around for some sort of anonymizer software; you could try out Tor or Jap, but they might lag RS a bit...

Did you try using unsigned client yet? It can't log your IP because it runs in a sandbox.
