Next step after beginner

OK, i have gone through all of Cohan's beginning guide and kind of learned the basics of simba and how a script works. I have also looked at other random tutorials in the beginners section to keep a feel for some of the other concepts and skills. What i want to know is, what is my next step in scripting?

Are there anymore tutorials that will be good for me to check that are acutally for simba (everything seems to be for scar and idk if it applies, granted it used to be the main method)? Are there any basic scripts that are written well that i can kind of study to see the basics of an actual runescape running script? Any other good information you know of that you can direct me to be would be great as well.

Be mindful that i don't have any other experience scripting, but i am really eager to learn even if it is a slow process.

keep it slow. first make a script that auto logins to runescape, It's pretty easy, it should cover the basics :)

next i would make a power chopper, with this you will need to learn TPA's, which i think are covered in some of cohens tuts. If you need any more help I'll be glad to :)

Most anything written for Scar would work for Simba, with a few exceptions.

Whether you code in Scar or Simba you are coding in PascalScript, Simba/Scar is just the compiler.

Look at some scripts by SRL Members as they generally know decent logic and use the appropriate methods without getting overly complicated.

You can do what I did, attempt to create a script :p

Just do something simple at first, woodcutting is fairly easy to do, then build on it. I'm still looking at the tutorials almost every day to try to learn something new I can incorporate into one of my scripts I'm trying to work on.

I'm still very new to the whole process aswell, and nowhere near able enough to create a completely stable, awsome script. Just keep on learning like I do :p

I felt like i wasn't remembering much, so while i had a few scripts running, i looked at how they were written and would look back at Cohan's tut to understand how and why certain things were being used. Actually helped a lot to get me to understand, but it is hard for me to think of how to write a script myself, which is my next step here. I'll probably make a login script like Awkwardsaw suggested to get an understanding.

Take a look at this site, it helped a ton when I was starting out. Some of it doesn't apply to the way we use Pascal in scripts, but it is still a great resource for syntax and whatnot:

Get about 4 or 5 active good scripts from the public section and just go through them and learn how they work. Once you got it down try and make your own script that does something completely different than any of those.

I don't right now, but it seems like everyone has one here, so i might make one. Learning has been kind of slow because i'm really busy right now. Going to try to get really into in once i find the time.
