I'd like to run Simba on my puppy linux partition. At first I tried the regular simba.exe with w.i.n.e. It worked fine until I had to open s.m.a.r.t at which point it crashes consistently. Next I decided to play with the linux version. I went to start up the program but got this error instead:
ERROR reading SCARhighlighter.AsmAttri.FrameEdges: Unknown property: ''FrameEdges''.
Has anyone here used simba in linux successfully? Would SCAR work better?
Thanks,
Dogma
I think the Linux versions of Simba are buggy iirc. Try using wine with the Win versions but you also need a Windows Java :p.

Wine+Windows version will only work.
currently, the PS interpreter only supports windows, unfortunately. :(

Yeah, I tried that but it still didn't work. Even with java all setup and ready to go. I'm thinking now it has something to do with the newest simba. I tried updating simba in windows (before it gets done automatically on the 12th) and I received the same error message about missing frames. Anyone know whats up?
Will try in different comp tomorrow to confirm.

I think you're doing it wrong. Did you follow Coh3n's tutorial?

Didn't know there was a tutorial. If you have the link, I'd love to read it.

Linux version works properly (for me anyway, I can build a release later), this looks like an issue with moparisthebest autobuilds. The interpreter won't fully work, though.

No, SCAR doesn't run natively on any platform other than windows 32 bit.
