I've not been on here for a while, but I've noticed that people with 10+ posts and enough time and other stuff aren't getting SRL Junior Member/SRL Member ranks as they should do. Or, used to. Someone please fill me in on the changes.
Also, how is everyone?

I was only a registered user far past having 200 posts, but I ended up getting voted into SRL Junior Member. So I'm guessing you have to get voted in now?

So things have toughened up a bit? Hmm, seems like a bit counter-productive seeing as les users are coming to sites like us recently.
Things are different now. Junior Member is nothing but a title I guess now. It's like 6 months or something :p.

Thought SRL Members was for people who show there knowledge of the SRL Include?
Reflection is *not* a part of SRL.
Tho helping others and being well-known does increase the success of your application.

Eh, I was a member. I was banned on a previous account. On that account though, I got SRL Member without applying :p. I've never even wrote a script man.
Edit: Once, and it was publicized for only a day ;).

This is a scripting forum though, is it not? Being able to script gives you the ability to help the newer population effectively as well as contributing to the people here that bot with Simba. So the script requirement is justified in my opinion to become an SRL member.
Although there are rare occasions that people get moved up for being extremely helpful (usually contributing to the include and etc).

I got moved up and I never really created a script or applied. So have a number of others.
I was just extremely helpful. Believe me, I know my way around Pascal :p. But I just never had the time to make scripts..

its not really counter productive at all, because whether your classified as a SRL junior member or Registered user you still get to look through the same forums and you get the same scripts.
Being voted into SRL junior members is just the community recognising that you are an active and valuable member, nothing more, nothing less :)
Juniors need 100 posts and to have been a part of the forum for a certain amount of time (how long, I don't know). However, Juniors can also be voted for in higher boards as already stated.

Ah, that makes sense now. So not much has changed in the long run then; nice to know things are still running smoothly. I'll probably go lurk for another 3 months or so and see how everyone's getting on.
