View Full Version : idea, how not to get banned autoing.
i was thinking "how do we get banned in runescape by macroing?" and i read a few topics on it. now i was thinking of something. when you move the mouse to a location, like a color or something, the script ussually moves the mouse there, waits about a tenth of a second then clicks right? well the average person, when they move to a location to click, they don't stop and then click do they? if you were going to move your mouse to a rock, you'd move it, and then about a half a second before you stop the mouse, you already clicked. i was just wondering if anybody else agrees with me on that, and if it would be possible to make a new function/procedure to help not getting banned by using that.

I dunno, I was just examining how I moved my mouse to click on desktop items, and I think that there is a brief pause between when my mouse arrives and before I click.
well there could be a random move mouse and click before stopping, just like theres random right clicking. because i still think that some people cick before they stop moving there mouse, atleast i do a lot :)

I agree. I kind of click where i want and keep moving a little.
there we go! thats one person who's with me :P do any SRL members/developers agree with this? because if theres a way to make it randomly do a click like this, i think it would prevent A lot of ban because then you might not even be always clicking on same color.

well i dont beleive that runescape records mouse movements. recording thousands of mouses would require lots of computing power.. i do howerver think when ur acc is "flagged" they record mouse movements. as for clicking on same color we fixed that by Mouse(x,y,(randomx,)(randomy, true) also with TOL it wont click on same colors.. but i guess it woudent be a bad thing to try this.

Hmm I think you could test this by taking a screeny of the rs screen and then past in paint. Then try doing some clicking on certain things you do in RS check to see if there is a line created when you click..

I had a time when a had 20-30 noob accounts. I would read the sig of "auto right" and wonder what the helll these guys were talking about. Now I know. I have just ran 40-50 accounts through tut island. Then hooked them up to goblin scheduler. Then a weeks worth of power-mining. After that a custom tree-chopper/fire maker. Been running for about a month.
Only one ban.....rule #1........offensive name....out of 63 accounts and counting.
it wasn't really that offensive.
the bots name was:
I have 2 p33
come on jagex....why you think we hate you so much,
i have way more offensive names than that.
but i think the "human emulator" we call scar is doing just fine.
Jagex will update, and so will we.

thanks for that story of yours lefa.
Back to the Mouse... I agree with that theory of yours. I just tested how whales suggested, and there is a line about 0-4 pixels long. Sometimes I make a line sometimes a I dont.
But with what Boreas said, I dont think they check for that stuff, unless you're "flagged".
but if your flagged, don't you think that this would help you get unflagged or something? if thats even possible :P but the thing i don't get is if they don't monitor mouse moves and clicks, why can't we use MoveMouseSmooth and MoveMouse? and even click mouse? because those all get you banned, but if they aren't monitoring mouse movements/clicks then i don't think they could catch us. and we have things that have a random right click, if they don't monitor it, why use it? not trying to sound really annoying, I'm just curious to why we have these things if they don't monitor mouse movement :P

It's impossible for a human to do what clickmouse does. But it's not impossible to what you described, even if the average human doesn't do it.
ok i get that, but how would they know we are doing that if they aren't monitoring our mouse? i get what your saying, but if they aren't monitoring our mouse, then they really can't tell if we are doing something impossible no?

They ARE monitoring your mouse around 5 to 10 times a second.
And movemouse/clickmouse gets your banned pretty easily: In one to three weeks you're banned. My main got banned for using a stupid powerminer, only seven days though. It took them three weeks to find me, got flagged, every minute a random event and that kind of things. Still auto on it with Scar/SRL. No problems at all now.
About the mouse thingy: I DO stop 1/10 of a second before I click, simply to be more accurate and don't accidently select something.

The main point of my post was to draw light on the fact that if you "auto-right" then you shouldn't have to really worry about being flagged. Sorry aboout the personal story, just an example of how I had an army, abused it got all 20 of them banned, then researched how not to get flagged in the first place.
Flags do expire, and as a result, rotating batches of your army from week to week will cause the flag to be stale, as Jagex has now moved on to your current batch of bots. 2 weeks is a good time to chill out for these guys, or move them from a mining script to a tree chopper.
2 cents.

Yes they do monitor mouse. They don't monitor everything about it. And of the stuff they do monitor, they have to draw a line somewhere, that doesn't catch too many legit players. I believe that line is somewhere in between faster than humanly possible things such as clickmouse, and behavioral habits and styles.
ok gotcha :) sorry for wasting all your guy's time with this idea.

no waste, good discussion. Keep em coming. Illustrated the evils in clickmouse i should say.
It depends. I use a laptop, so I need to pause. People that use a mouse, don't.
