SRLStats proper usage?

I can't seem to get srl stats to commit properly. I have tried using username + password and user ID + password for the stats user and password but nothing seems to work - I always get "incorrect user name or password". Could someone confirm the correct way to commit with stats? Also, is there any way that one can change their stats password, so I can check if it happens with a different password?

Edit: it may be that I have unsupported characters in the password (however I can log in to the stats website fine), in this case is there any syntax for "escaping" certain characters in a string in Simba?
