He has been frequenting our irc channel lately with reflection questions. Really all I know about him

^ What she said.

Also, he likes Windows and AA3. From what little interaction I've had, he seems pretty nice.

How many client do you run?

Would be nice to know that and what spec his computer is. I can run 3 simbers on my computer,
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E6750 @ 2.66GHz, 2.66GHz
(RAM) 2.00 GB, 32-bit

That would make my computer implode.

Congrats on top 25 ;)

I was wondering what caused the sudden explosion: http://stats.villavu.com/graph/commits/month/5/year/2011/type/minutes

25 at once?! What are the specs of that beast?

I don't get it. I have an awesome quad q9550, 5gb ram and an ati hd4890 but my SMART will start QQing after 3-4 at the same time.

:surprised: Wow very nice man thats siick, wish I could have that many running but I wouldn't even have the bots to fill them all anyway lol. :f: to jagex from Tom99 hahaha.

Stats of the accounts?
Smurg also has a beast computer dedicated to botting I believe :).

mind posting a pic of your task manger on the performance tab, and processes tab (sorted by highest memory usage)?

should be awesome to see that

Lol Tom you kind if missed bobs point/cropped image too much, he wanted to see the memory usage of each too :p.

Anywyas awesome! Fun fun fun! I love mass botting.

How do you run that many on a simple i7? o_O You must limit the FPS a ton or something. Pretty nice though.

I have an AMD Phenom 2.8Ghz 6 core.
I am able to run 6 nexus clients and be around only 20-25% CPU Ussage but 3.5gigs of RAM are used, so I think RAM seems to play a bigger role than CPU, for me with nexus at least.

Harry

Nexus is not SMART. CPU is the main bottleneck for me anyways. Running 6 clients I don't use much of my RAM but manage to get 20% CPU each client. Any more and RS gets less than max FPS which I don't like. Could probably run a lot more but it'd be too choppy.

yeh i would love to see the memory usage and the CPU/Memory Graph in performance

I tried running two scripts last night and the lag was unbearable :p oh well, looks like only one script at a time for me!

Narcle

With SMART its the RAM that limits you before the cpu. (for me at least)

Edit:
He is probably also running efficient scripts.

3 Smart's and my CPU is 100% while RAM usually chills at half.

Edit: I'm a Pentium dual core with 2.5Ghz and 4 GB ram

I haven't tried to max out my other computer, 8 cores at 2.2GHz and 8gb of ram, can put 16GB in pretty cheap/ easily

I only do like 4 bots :O

Haha ya.

I haven't run a lot of simba's, but like 20-25 nexus bots, which are more resource intensive.

I bought my computer cause I game and stuff too, but I knew I could make the money back within a moderate amount of time to justify splurging on RAM and higher tier components.

Core i7-2600k Sandy Bridge OC'ed to 4.5Ghz on Air

Doing something wrong because even on my Athlon 64 X2 OC'd to 2.9 ghz I can run 4 clients. Average CPU for each simba is 20%.

And no, that isn't a Athlon II, it's a dinosaur Athlon 64 X2 5200. It's literally two Athlon 64 3200's glued together.

5gb ram

5gb isn't exactly a dual channel configuration, is it? Take the odd one out then try again with dual channel.

Dual Channel doesn't really offer any benefits except in the most specific cases.

Twice the bandwidth. RS uses tons of memory (and probably looks in it) so it might just make the difference. Can't think of anything else..

You sure Windows is detecting all 4 cores? I had that problem when using a 'free' Windows 7, somehow it only detected one.

Floor66

Any way to check that?
This sure looks like it detects them:

yes that means it's detecting them

also you can type "dxdiag.exe" into your start bar search thing

i bet i know how he is running 20 bots.
intel enjoys hyperthreading. so an i7 is typically a 4 core if i remember right. (i beleive they have a 6 core now.)
so if hes running hyperthreading his pc is seeing 8 cores.
correct me if im wrong. (i am an amd person)
