View Full Version : Are feather and eye of newter done?

I want to start scripting, and I was planning to make a Port Sarim -> Bank box eye of newter. A post I found from 2008 says it's done in the member's only forums, but does this run to Draynor/Fally bank?

Alternatively I could make a Port Sarim -> Bank box feather buyer. Is this done? Will this be easy for a never-before-SRLer?

Thanks,
-Suphy

I'm pretty sure that one would be outdated. Make your own! It's real fun and easy. But is there any profit in this? I thought this died with the personal/limited stocks shops update?

Are you going for reflection or color?

Do it. It's most likely old if we have it at all. It did mostly die with that update MasterBB

Well, in the Port Sarim shop there's 300 eyes of newts for 3gp ea. They sell for 55gp (!) giving a profit of 52gp per eye and 27*52=1404gp per run. A run takes a bit over one minute walking, giving around 84k per hour. Not bad.

Can you explain why it wouldn't work due to that update? Haven't played RS for several years, so I'm a bit rusty in some areas :D

Looking forward to developing with you all!

If the stock is only 300 that's all you'll be able to buy until it's restocked. I'm pretty sure the store's stock is specific to each player and stays the same on every world. Depending on how long it takes to restock the items, it may be a nice money maker for armies.

Oh, shoot, really?

I'll have to test that out.

Just make a ton of level 3s. Calculate how long it takes to drain one players stock, and divide the restock time by that to see how many players you need to alternate between to keep the shop full.

Problem is it's gonna take a LOT of time to get money onto the accounts and take off the eyes.

The only way to get money on is to meet up with two players on the same world and trade/drop trade, right?

You could also just trade... just use unsigned to be sure.

Yeah, I just trade.. What does unsigned mean?

Just open two scripts. Look for the SMART_signed var, and set it to false. Run the scripts, when Smart pop ups disable them. And trade manual.

Umm.. I'm not quite with you. I see where I can put it to false, but what good does this do?

Up until now I've had one 'auto supplier' account trading in browser with (apparently signed) SMARTs. Can Jagex recognize this?

You can load safe mode if you hit 's' while RS is loading. Doesn't matter if you're using SMART or the browser.

So as long as they're both in safe mode it's safe to trade?

I've no idea what coh3n wanted to say. Safe mode is not similar to signed/unsigned. Safe mode is a way to draw the graphics on very low.

Signed gives more details about your machine to jagex, loads much faster.
Unsigned gives few to none details about your machine, the game itself has to completely reload itself every time.

With unsigned trading you can be sure they can't know if they are both on the same computer. But they don't really check it anyway.

Unsigned client is http://www.runescape.com/slu.ws

Awesome! But I can't get it to work with scripts... On your woodcutter I put signed to false, logged on normally in browser and started script on same world... Gave me an error.

This is the method I used to get my first rune armor set back in the day!

You could always try logging in at the same time very fast, that's what I do.

Yeah, Echo, I'm currently doing that, but I'm not sure how safe it is.

When I try running two unsigned clients on the same world it gives the multiple log-in error. Is that normal?

use one unsigned client from smart and use the normal rs browser to play on the other acc.

Right, so that's the only way to make it work then. Thanks :)

If you use reflection, it will be a piece of cake. :)

They respawn REAL slow, so I think I'll do something else instead..

Do something small any ways: Draynor Cut N' Bank, Al-Kharid guard fighter, Fisher, Miner etc.

Anyway, I load two signed clients and just login on each really fast. Have been doing it for years and everything has been fine. Just so you know. :)
