Umm having this happened to me more than once and I lost 3 weeks of Uni/col homework.. it sucks but it could be three things:
1. A sector of the harddrive is damaged and needs repairing/Formatting with HP USB Disk Utility.. Kinda doubt it cuz it works on the xbox.. but it can still be a possible problem.
2. Drivers for the computer are corrupt and need re-instaling.. Usually PCI simple communication protocol and Mass Storage Device Driver.
3. A letter needs to be assigned to the harddrive because it conflicts with another drive of the same letter.. This is done through disk management.
Anyway I gtg right now.. So I'll check back and see if any of the above solves it or if anyone else solves it/replies to you.
