I cant download the client

First of all, don't multi-post. Just edit your post. And that's a pretty important piece of information.. :p To me that says you don't have the privilege to do so.

What OS are you using? And right click the installer and choose Run As Admin if you aren't.

Well there's your problem. Make sure UAC is set correctly and everything. And get Win7.

go to run and type in "msconfig"
go to he last tab
if your on vista choose "Disable UAC" and choose launch
if your on 7 choose "Change UAC Settings" and click launch
then put it down to the bottom and click ok

And by 'default folder' you mean C:/ right?

format c:/ might help. Seems you got some messed up configuration, might wish to reinstall your pc.
