Converting Reflection To Color?

This might be a stupid question...but as I know nothing about color, I will ask.

How hard would it be to convert a reflection script to color? Would it be completely different, making me have to start from scratch? Or do I only have to tweak certain parts.

It's a pretty big overhaul, I'd say the best bet is starting from scratch, but making just one part of the script at a time. I'm doing this with my Naturez script, piece by piece.

Just give it a shot, worst comes to worst you get hung up somewhere and have to make a post here for help, and that will be answered in a matter of minutes. ;)

I never made an reflection script, but if some one had and reflection script to locate obj, they would just have to convert to color methods.

You could do this to other people's script, but you need to understand the script so you could find color alternative to what ever they were trying to do in reflection.

I'd assume you'd basically have to re-write the entire script. I may be wrong, though.

Is this a script here at the SRL forums or for another bot?
If it's a script for another bot, then they are ENTIRELY different and COMPLETELY unrelated.

And even changing a SRL script from Reflection to Color is a pretty big overhaul, would be best to start from scratch and just look at the reflection one as a template.

Explained a bit more :)...guess ill give it a shot whenever I find time...(Thanksgiving or Christmas Break)



Also...hope someone sees this...I noticed from the two scripts I have used so far, neither has a "paint" thing.

Have any of you made one or would it be possible to have the paint show up on the screen of the game?

Take a look at some of Flight's script threads, he uses painted progress reports on his scripts:

I don't think Simba/SMART allow for much unique/advanced/creative paint though, I've only seen still images and text painted onto the SMART screen before.

Superuser had a good painting procedure built into his mining script. You might want to check it out.
