Failure

Hello there, this is not a actual "Tutorial" but it will help definitly to get accurate colors that are not comon. It's a simple method, yet very effective.
This is done on Windows 7, I'm not aware of XP nor Vista.
Go to start and search for "magnifying glass" and open it up.
Once it's open press Crtl + Alt + L, you should get a glass like this
http://screensnapr.com/e/b4ddSn.png It's more zoomed it, I preferably let it on 300%. Now once you have done that, you're more zoomed in.
As soon you do Ctrl + Alt + P (Color picking), it zooms even more.
And you're able to choose more un-common colors like this

Ofcourse, this is to small to see if you're zoomed out for the human eye, but not for Simba or SCAR, this might be usefull for some it is for me and I never seen it before so I thought, I'll share.

Yeah definitely easier to pick the right colors the more zoomed in you are. Sometimes what I'll do is take a screenshot of the RS screen with the colors I want to find, and paste that in MS Paint, from there I zoom in to 300% and use the color-picker from Simba. Same concept as your suggestion. :)

That requires a downloaded program, this is inbuilt in Windows but another option :p

Vista and XP also have this :D.
And yea you can also print screen, paste to img editing program, and zoom in too, (also this way img is still and not moving) but this is a neat idea.
Failure, you can use paint lol... no need to download

Not to hijack this thread, but to save from posting one myself, we can pictures of images and then use the color picker to get the value? Starting to script so its all new to me, and I have a few ideas for scripts but I don't really know when the images will show up so I will need to just screen them.

Download?! Are you suggesting that the lot of us are low life pirates? :shifty:
I think 'purchase and installation' is close to the term you are looking for.
