If on Windows 7
Start> Type 'keyboard or other' > Click on 'Change Keyboards or Other Input Methods' > Go to the General Tab and change Default Input Language to English (United States)- US

It doesn't really matter which. Just do English USA if you want to be sure.

You already made a thread about this?

Why not continue posting on that one instead of making new one?

Umm iirc its because Java sends it as a different key so if your using smart try
'
or
~
Instead of @

There's another post about it somewhere.
