I am now living in a dorm at a university and for some reason I can't play runescape in SMART or in chrome. I am not sure if it works in Internet Explorer, but I am sure that it does work in Firefox. What I mean by this is that for some reason when I use SMART and Chrome, as soon as I log on to my runescape character, I get the little "Connection lost attempting to re-establish" message in the top right corner of the window and it disconnects back to the log in screen 10 seconds later.

I have tested this on different computers and different routers but the same problem arises. This problem is also unique to the internet here at my dorm (SMART and Chrome both play runescape with no problems on my internet connection at home)

This is really frustrating because it keeps me from being able to auto in my dorm room. :fiery: Anyone else have similar difficulties and/or know of a way to solve this problem?

Edit: It does not say loading...please wait as I thought at first. It says Connection lost. Attempting to re-establish

so nobody has ever heard of this happening? It's quite frustrating and my java is up to date according to their website.

Try completely uninstalling Simba and Java, then install it all again.

This is actually due to the "Goggles" update.. I saw it on the forums.. When jagex released the google chrome update, it didn't go so well.. The only solution I saw was that one guy said to open like 5 youtube videos and then run runescape in a tab.. it will lag you a bit and whatever problem will be skipped over and you will be logged in fully..

Then you close the youtube videos. A jmod was trying to help him solve it and gave up LOL.

I just finished testing after reinstalling chrome, java, and simba and I still have the same problem. It isn't just chrome, it's Simba and Internet Explorer too. Runescape only seems to work in Firefox for some reason. This doesn't just go for this computer either. The same problem exists on my desktop in my dorm room. Can you deactivate SMART in MSI and run it oldschool through firefox?

for now you can disable smart and just use the crosshairs to select the firefox runescape window and bot in there (this will take control of your mouse)

the quickest temp fix, it's probably jagex's fault
