First of all: I just started trying to learn this a day ago. So I am new.

I download the script located on this page:
http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=66134

This is what I have been doing:
I open Simba, Go to File>Open, select the file I downloaded, and then I press the little play button near the top of Simba. When I do so, a GUI opens up for the information (username, password, PIN, bar type, etc.)

After clicking "Start Script", the mouse starts moving, so I am assuming it is trying to work, but the mouse seems to move randomly.

My questions are, where is my character in RS supposed to stand? Is my mouse supposed to be in a certain place?

I would appreciate any help to this, as well as help having to do with starting scripts. Please don't say read the FAQ because I already have. I think there is a certain amount of knowledge a new user is expected to have that I do not.

Does that script use SMART? If not, you have to drg the crosshairs from Simba to the RS client.

Is SMART the window that pops open when you use MSI? If it is, then no it doesn't. When I start it and then open the RS window it clicks in the upper right of the screen, then does nothing.

Yes, that is smart. You can add it by adding:

{DEFINE SMART}

Just below the program name.

So it should say:

program SuperHeater
{DEFINE SMART}
//{$I SRL/SRL/misc/smart.scar}

Is that right? I don't understand this area. I think this is the knowledge I don't have that is expected that I mentioned.

Actually, remove what I said to do and just remove the "//" before the second line.

So it should say:

program SuperHeater;
{$I SRL/SRL/misc/smart.scar}
{$I SRL/SRL.scar}

Correct?

Yes, that is correct :)

I changed the code to the above and then tried to run it. After opening a window it just sat there. All my settings are on lowest, brightness is all the way up. Any ideas on what this could be? I don't think it is the script. It seems popular. BTW thank you for your help.

Hmm, are you 100% sure you're settings are correct? I know sometimes they don't save. Also, if they are, make sure it's on a fixed client size.

If that doesn't work, then delete your Jagexcache from C:\Users\ and redo your settings in the browser.

Idk why, but it worked on my third attempt. Thank you for all your help sir. +1 for helping a newbie. :)

EDIT: Nevermind, you disabled reputation apparently. Thank you anyways though.

Well I'm glad it's working! No problem, happy botting :)
