Start-> Run -> Regedit: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\Explorer.. Create a DWord32 called "NoClose" without quotes.. Right click and change the value to 1.
Close the editor.. Reboot now try shutting down.. you shouldn't be able to.. it'll tell you ur not administrator or contact the admin to re-enable it.. I did this to my computer with a batch file & custom regkey in notepad.. if only I could find it :S
If your mom is smart though she's gunna shut you down with task manager..
Edit:
Found it!!
For the lazy ppl just open notepad and copy paste this.. Save as NoClose.reg:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\Explorer]
"NoClose"=dword:00000001
Now close the file and save as NoClose.reg.. to insert it to the registry you double click it lol.
As always I prefer the legit way as you know for sure nothing will go wrong rather than using the notepad way..

Turn the monitor off?

Lol that would suck. Since its a desktop IDK how you could hide it cuz the power on the computer itself will be lit up. I would suggest just telling her or finding a way to cover the button so it doesnt light up and she does not think its on. The monitor you can just shut off but the ON for the computer needs the attention.

If you have LED's that light up then open up your case and unplug the little wire that goes from the power switch or motherboard to the light sockets.

Or just do nothing because you're living in her house, and if she wants the computer off while she sleeps then that's her right.
Or just do nothing because you're living in her house, and if she wants the computer off while she sleeps then that's her right.Yeah dude, listen to him. It isn't your computer it is hers, hope you know that. Explain to her what botting is and why it needs to be on and ask if you can do it while she is asleep. If not, respect her decision and save up money for your own computer or get a VPS.
Turn your internet settings so that you can use it while its on Standby.
Then turn your computer on standby
???
Profit!!
-Pm if you need help with that :)

Virtual Private Server.
It's basically a computer/server that you hire. You are given access remotely.

I'd say just listen to her.... Like others have said just explain why you would rather run a program to play a video game, that way you can spend more time actually having a life, but still be good.
Sometimes the truth is the best way :)

Turn the monitor off?
I fucking miss the days when it was that easy ahahahaha might still work for my dad but unfortunately my mom has figured things like this out, although computer access hasnt even really been a problem, just express an interest into the nerdier side of computing to ur rents and they *should* nurture your interests and intellectual strengths allowing you to study a hobby that can directly relate both education and the workforce.

Be honest to them and tell them you are updating the computer if you dont then it'd break and you'll have to buy me a new one. Then with this add that custom Batch file and vola you can bot? :D

This wouldn't be the best idea...
Just be straight up and honest, tell them you need to leave the computer on. It is running a bot for a game.

I have had the same problem.. Just turn off the monitor, put some towels etc around it - so it wont make so much noise

That'd restrict air flow to PC and make the fan spin faster causing more noise :duh:
but maybe just being honsest helps or really just buy a VPS from somewhere the only way it'd get shut off is if u fail to pay it or w.e :/

You could just bot during the day instead of at night? Wouldn't that work?

1. paint the LED light or any emitting light on ur cpu/monitor black (until u dont see any light even when its on)
2. Use the "schedule task" (google it/auto search if u are win vista/7) to autorun a .bat that starts the script (simba) at a specific time u set, with the "wakeup com" ticked.
3. Let your computer sleep. it will wakeup and run the script at the time u specified at (2).
Or if ur com is extremely quiet and ur mom wont notice even when its on 24/7 then just let it run all the way.
Idk if there is way to auto startup the computer at specific time though, or editing some complex system files to turn the LED light off.

I agree with the VPS solution, will make it much easier and could access it anywhere you had RDP access.

Depends really, I've seen some for $20/month and others for $100+/month. Just depends on what your needs are.

cheapest i've seen is $10/month which is ok becuase SImba does need like 1.5gb ram a min of 1gb or 512 with slight burst ram would do it good i've seen my Simba take 300mb whist running a simple script so maybe 1gb ram server would be good there going cheap now? becuase some other servers which people bought to run other reflection bots stopped buying/using them :P i think
