And it just wont let me run it. As far as I see there is also no option for F secure allow Simba, so I am stuck.

..So what do I do? (And no, I don't want to stop using F secure)

It says; Trojan.Generic.KD.493614. Removing virus. And I can't stop it either..so my Simba is gone.

You uninstall that garbage and get Microsoft Security Essentials.

You could probably whitelist the folder Simba is in.

Ideally, send them the Simba program and inform them it's clean and a false-positive and they might remove it from the detection list.

It's because of the auto updater. Nothing to worry about buddy :)

Yeah, I know to trust you people, but my antivirus does not. So I need to run Simba, and F Secure is not letting me.

By the way, this problem only started as of today.

1. Well as I said, I'll keep using F Secure. (I had MSE, and it didn't seem to find as many viruses, so I stopped using it)

2. I'll see if that works. EDIT; Nope, didn't seem to help.

3. I'll try that too.

Thanks for replying!

EDIT; And sorry for the double post..I should have edited. =/

I see no problem with using Microsoft Security Essentials, because I works like a charm for me (the fact that you were getting a lot of viruses worries me). If you don't switch, you'll just have to pray they add it to the secure list, but this is highly unlikely.

I don't know why I keep getting a decent amount of viruses. They just seem to pop up. (For example one of the worst ones I had came when I was just googleling.. I had to search for hours for a program that was free and could actually delete it, MSE didn't work)

I have a sort of fix to this problem though, I have this old computer, which can barely run anything, but it does run Simba. So I am using it now instead of my better computer.

Hmmmh. =/

Its not because its on a detection list its because f secure finds patterns that rats also use.
antiviruses do find a lot of false positives and that's one of the main reasons i don't use one. but i do use common sense.

You don't use any antiviruses? Then how do you.. well keep your computer running? I mean, with out any protection shouldn't your PC now be filled with malwares? (Unless you are using Linux or something?)

how does virus fly in if u dont visit any undesirable websites (i.e. only visit trusted websites) and only dl trusted softwares?

Well I don't know how, but I get viruses pretty darn easily.. So unless you only go on the safest websites on the planet, you will get some malwares. (In other words, just browsing the web has gotten me some viruses..)

Get Avast!. Better than MSE or FS. Doesn't have many false positives.

i block every advertisements in firefox , run regular ccleaner. use wm to untrusted things and pretty much use common sense. maleware is not magic its a piece of computer code.

I don't use any. And biyearly scans via MalwareBytes shows no infections whatsoever. I just use Firefox with AdBlock Plus, and make sure not to pirate content from untrustworthy sources (i.e. using common sense). That's it really.
