Sorry for making another thread about the same problem, I have reinstalled windows on my laptop yet am still running into the same problem windows cannot find my wireless network, I think this is due to the driver problem.
It's strange although I never got Ubuntu to fully install but used the trial off of the cd, it found the wireless fine so i thought a complete install of windows would fix

The windows version I installed is one I downloaded from Harry

Anyone know what's going on?

1) Do you see any other wireless networks?

2) Did you download the drivers for your wireless card from the manufacturers website?

You need to download the drivers for your wireless card.

Whats the manufacturer name and model number on your wireless card and I'll get you a link to the drivers.

Make sure you install the right driver for the wireless card you have. There are 3 on that webpage.. you need the one for your specific laptop.

Bonfield, right click on My Computer and click Properties. Then click on Device Manager.
Find your Wireless Adapter, right click on it and click Properties.

Then reply with the wireless card name at the top.

Unfortunately not, can you right click the one that says "Network Controller" with the yellow symbol next to it, the click "Properties".

Then take a picture of that and upload it.

By the way when taking a picture of your screen, just click the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard, then paste it into Paint.

Click Update Driver

You can try that.. but it most likely won't work because the drivers weren't found in the first place.

As I said in my PM, download
http://org.downloadcenter.samsung.com/downloadfile/ContentsFile.aspx?CDSite=UNI_IN&CttFileID=3238841&CDCttType=DR&ModelType=N&ModelName=NP-R439I&VPath=DR/201009/20100907170901843/WLAN_Broadcom_Win7_5.60.350.21.zip

extract it, and run the setup file. And you'll be good to go!

Lol nice feet in background. Btw, don't feel discouraged. Drivers are difficult for everyone, experts to newbs. There are so many, and so scattered it is ridiculous to update them a lot of the time. That's why programs like Driver Genius are good.

I'm not exactly sure which piece of hardware that is, but I think this driver will fix it.

http://org.downloadcenter.samsung.com/downloadfile/ContentsFile.aspx?CDSite=UNI_IN&CttFileID=3048892&CDCttType=DR&ModelType=N&ModelName=NP-R439I&VPath=DR/201006/20100617103809093/Chipset_9.1.1.1025.zip

If not, get back to me.
