Hello guys ! I realize I am very new to this forum, but I just downloaded Simba. I had the MSVCR71.dll error, and shut helped me fix that with his guide. I then ran into another problem, and that was MSVCR100.dll can not be found. I did the same solution at I did with 71, but I got another error saying, "C:\Windows\system\MSVCR100.dll is either not designed...". It had more, but I don't remember. After a lot of Google research, I finally fixed the problem.
The problem lies within Visual C++. A 1 minute re-installation that will instantly fix this problem. No, this is not a virus, the download comes straight from Microsoft's website.
Without further adieu, here it is :
(x64 bit) http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=14632
(x86 bit) http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=5555
There you go ! If you need anymore help, or have any other problems, please reply to this thread and I surely will help you ! Looking forward to a great community ! :)

Much easier way to do this. Just go to your Java folder in your system folder and go into the jre whatever you have and copy it from there and replace it with the old one. No downloads.

Thank you for the fix dude. Strange that this error only just started appearing. maybe simba was updated and i didn't notice. Less than a few hours ago smart was fine.
Restarting the pc to see if this did indeed fix the problem. Rep+ dude

Few days back I got the same Windows error on my PC. I search on the Web and find some of the useful way to fix this error. I Open a page and resolved this error within few clicks. http://www.howtofixerror.helpsforum.com (http://howtofixerror.helpsforum.com/category.php?cat1=corruptfiles03)

It's actually in the biggest FAQ thread:
http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?p=851555
Good job finding it on your own though :p I have seen a lot of posts about it over the years but I don't think anyone has ever just found it themselves and posted it.
(those FAQ links are missing some of my posts that just link directly to it like yours does though, so I'll see if coh3n can update it)

Hi there, firstly thanks for the help! However im trying to resolve this issue but it wont let me install the older version and i get this message:

A newer version of Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable has been detected on the machine.
I searched the forums and could not find a remedy! Any help would be great, thanks very much.

I was running into the problem for a while after downloading the x64 version. Despite that I am running an x64 version of windows, upon installing the x86 version the error was fixed.
