Okay so when I got home from school today, my computer was turned on (I put it in sleep mode before I went to bed, so it turned on during some point between sleep and home from school). I noticed windows had updated, and that there was these pink lines going across my screen. These pink stripes are *really* annoying, and is a problem I'd like to fix asap!
These pink stripes are being drawn on the screen from even before the computer enters the BIOS and if I move the mouse over the stripes.
I have installed the most recent drivers (and un-installed the old one ofc) several times, I even tried downgrading the drivers, but no avail... :/
It's a bit hard to explain so I just made a video to show my problem:

This looks like a motherboard issue.
Try taking a graphics card from some other pc, and put that in, see if it fixes it, if it does, then it's most likely your motherboard.

Try uninstalling drivers, and install them again, i had a problem similar to this, just uninstalled my drivers, installed them again, MAGIC!
Edit: also try just to remove the latest updates?
Edit2: @shadowmarkus if you are focusing at the temperature of the motherboard, don't mind because zyt3x already made a thread about it, 1 month ago maybe?

Take out your video card and put a different one in, like I said on IRC. :p

Uninstall the latest updates? If that doesn't work then Re-Format i guess....
Try opening the computer and getting a desk fan to blow air on the graphics card.

@both of you: I'll do that if I find one that fits my computer
Try opening the computer and getting a desk fan to blow air on the graphics card.No need to do that :P The graphics card has a fan and it's cased in (and it's not hot either.... it's running at about 40 degrees when playing graphics-heavy games)

Have you tried reseating your graphics card in its slot or just taking it out completely? That might help narrow down the source of the issue.

Have you tried reseating your graphics card in its slot or just taking it out completely? That might help narrow down the source of the issue.I just tried with an NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT, and the pink stripes are gone....
So we have narrowed the problem down to the graphics card...
This can either be a hardware problem, or a software problem. I doubt it is a software problem, considering I can "clean" the stripes as I move the mouse, and since the stripes are sort of relative to whats shown on the screen... There are stripes before BIOS, but not when DOS is the only thing that's running and they reappear as soon as DOS is finished (when windows loads)
E: And when I change to 16-bit color scheme, the colors change from pink to blue
How can I fix the software? I have tried updating the drivers.. What else can I do?

Well, you could try reseating your graphics card, like I suggested in my last post. I had a similar problem, but with horizontal lines on some parts of the screen, and making sure that my graphics card was completely seated in the PCIe slot fixed it for me.
If that doesn't work, you may have a bad graphics card.

I took out the GTX 560 Ti, put in a 8500 GT, turned on the computer and saw no lines, took out the 8500 GT and then put the GTX 560 Ti in again... :(
Seems to me this is some kind of memory issue or something of the like....... I am not sure, but it seems like the lines appear in the same places all the time, and there is exactly 32 columns of lines....
This seems like a weird idea but maybe it's plausible?: Windows writes color X to pixel Y, and then the card adds 255 to Red and 255 to Blue?

Try booting into safe mode, then you'll see if it's hardware or software related/Put your graphics card in another machine
