How long does the poll stay open for people to vote and what happens if the votes tie?
The poll duration usually stays up for about a week, if I am not mistaken.
If the votes tie, an Administrator will decide if the user in question is given membership or not.
Most votes end early if the amount of 'No' votes are too high for the 'Yes' votes to pass.

Ok thanks :)
I remember from some where that it'd be best if you were to get a atleast 65-75% of yes.
Usually thou all the votes are tilted towards one side, its usually pretty rare to have a similar percentage of yes and no (after 10 votes ).

This poll will close on 02-17-2012 at 03:27 PM
Its on the top of the poll box. Mind you, I don't know if that displays for all usergroups :p
Member polls stay open for 2 weeks unless a staff feels like it could be closed early. ie: 23 yes - 2 no or 0 yes - 19 no. In those cases its fairly obvious what the outcome will be so it can be closed early.

It doesnt say anything about when it would end for me. It would be a great feature if it did though.

I would suggest one month, but the admin who denies you might give you another time frame.

4 weeks is the default wait time limit, you should only reapply before this time if you are told so on the previous app.
