Allow donations for member rank

I couldn't find a suggestion sub-forum, so I decided to post this here.

Why does this site not allow people to donate to become a member (in order to use the member/'premium' scripts).

Personally, I am in the process of trying to learn to script myself, mostly to get a first glance at coding before I go to college, but also to develop my own, and use others, member scripts.

However, as with anything, learning scripting takes time. I was wondering why this site did not implement an option to purchase the ability to use premium scripts (I'm thinking a one time payment of $20-50). This would allow the site to strive if the money were put to good use, and it would prevent leechers from saturating the runescape market due to an influx of botters.

This will never happen, only way to get Members is to learn how to script and apply with a script of your own. It's always been like this, and always will.

If members was a 'buyable' rank, it would be worthless.

What about a seperate rank, that allows access to all or some of member scripts. This would ensure the member rank stayed superior.

My number one guess at why this wasn't already in place was the lack of need for money. The rank itself wouldn't matter so much, it would be about the access to the better scripts.

Member scripts are for those who have proved themselves worthy of using them, not to be leeched to hell by people who just want to buy their ranks.

How would the Member rank stay superior if people could buy a rank that allowed access to the Member scripts?

Still, this isn't going to happen, we don't need more leechers here.

Alright, I see your point. Thanks for clarifying, it's definitely a more respectable way to run a project like this come to think of it.

Just learn to script that's what I did, and them apply and you might get it. I'm in the process of applying ATM. Only thing I recommend is don't get mad if you have a close to making it one time then apply again another time and then get a horrible yes to no ratio! :duh:
Like I did, that's the one thing I recomend! It shouldn't be hard from all the new member I have been seeing lately! :)
