I had Ubuntu and Win7 on same machine, each had own partition.
Recently I was on the Win7 partition and I went to Computer Manger, deleted all of the Ubuntu related partitions and then merged the free space with my Win7 parittion.

Now when I boot up instead of the Grub Boot Loader (where I picked Win7 or Ubuntu) I now get "Error: No Such Partition Grub Rescue".

What I want to do is just get rid of grub all together now, and just use the normal windows boot loader.

How do I?!

If you have a win 7 cd, try repairing the boot loader?

Reading: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1014708 right now, seems to answer everything.
I don't have any blank CDs right now, but yea hmm it seems like running a "Windows 7 Recovery Disc" and repairing boot loader should fix it up. Thanks.

I had the same problem, so I am positive the above will work.
Recovery disk, fixboot, fixmbr, profit.

if you have a ubuntu liveCD handy or if you feel like making a bootable-usb to save yourself burning a cd - http://www.arsgeek.com/2008/01/15/how-to-fix-your-windows-mbr-with-an-ubuntu-livecd/

oh my goodness, you might as well delete 80% of that since i doubt you can find most of it in a hurry, or else throw 80% of it in a folder on your desktop
