Hello Everyone,

I have a computer (8GB RAM) and I am able to run about 6 Simba applications on it before they start to lag too badly and start misclicking.

I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how I could potentially run more?
(I am not gold-farming I am just trying to mine essence for my main).

Thanks in advance.

Unistall java 7 if you have it and install java 6. For some reason java 7 sucks with runescape.

Other than that.. the usualy story. Stop useless processes, close programs, don't listen to music / movies while you bot etc.

CPU matters more than RAM.

What helps the most is to lower the slider on the right hand side of SMART to lower Runescape's FPS. You should be able to keep it as low as 1 inch from the bottom and still have the scripts run well.

Tbh get a better computer, 6 is a pretty big number when it comes to color clients. I can run 6 Simbas on my i7 quad and thats my theorical max, I can run more but it will lag and mess up the script. 6 Simba = 10 Nexus since there are color rendering and other features that are necessary for Simba to function, just be happy that you can run 6, that is 3X more than most people. Yohojo is right, CPU > RAM when it comes to Simba just because the ratio of CPU to RAM is way to big to make RAM sort of matter.

6 is plenty. But if you absolutely have to run more, using optimized scripts, setting your sliders based on the accuracy required for the script to run well, and good cooling are all ways that you can squeeze out one or maybe two more. As for memory, I doubt a script will use much more than 300-350MB, which means that even 10 would on use only 3-4 gigs

I can run 7 or so on my i5, but that's with [crappy] stock cooling :s

My i7 qm840 is quite small, I run 6 at about 12-14% CPU each but I am left with CPU power to surf the net, listen to youtube and other stuff. The reason I don't max it out is because I am not trying to gold farm and I want my computer to still be usable while I run and test my scripts
