So, I had the Idea to host a competition, In HTML coding abilities. Whoever has the best code, in each category, will win the prize. You will PM me your HTML script, and I will determine if it belongs in any of the three categories. The three Categories are:

Begginer, you only know HTML Basic, Nothing much. Will mainly be scored on how your standards are. Prize is 100K.

Intermediate, You know HTML better, and can do more.. import links and whatnot. Prize will be 500K

And, Pro. You know HTML 5, you incorporate PHP, videos, ect, ect. Prize will be 2M.

Took the words out of my mouth.

HTML is not a programming language it is simply a markup language. I would not consider it coding. Also, writing PHP scripts have nothing to do with HTML :); at least, they shouldn't in this context..

Idk, semantics are sometimes a hard one for people, lmao ;). Using tables for non-tabular data, etc.

Well as this seems to be mainly HTML competition, I don't see why the title would be bad, only for the pro segment you're required to use PHP.

You're getting caught up on the word "coding". Give the kid a break, he is obviously learning. I don't see why you have to pin point on that one thing, when YOU know what he means.

Oh man, I HATE that.

Thanks, Kyle. I am learning, And for the Pro segment, You don't HAVE to use PHP, Just gives you more points. Also, the source is enough, but if you get a page, that works, too.

Are we just throwing anything into this competition?

Shouldn't the host give us an idea or something to build the page around?

Vinyl Scratch

Nothing to be based around, it can be an old project, a new one, anything, use your creativity. Not something for a major business, but something fun.

As of now, Kyle, you're winning the Pro section, and Ggzz, you're in second place for pro.
You guy, could you make a new page for us? As in, start from scratch?

Heres a list of my recent websites:
http://www.faststeam.fi/
http://www.hieronta-helsinki.fi/
http://www.netrinki.fi/
http://www.unispinner.com/ (I have done 100% of the site, but don't own it anymore.)

First and third site also have a CMS made by me.

XHTML/CSS/PHP/JS is used.

I used the script that Kyle made, and Frement is in second. Ggzz, you're right there. Give me a page, coded from scratch, selling products, say.. Exotic and rare collections.

Wow I didn't see this :P
We should have a competition from scratch :P No libraries/No PHP, just raw css3 + html5.

That will be in the finals, Thanks for the Idea, R4nd0m!
